Lansing was a 24th century Human man. By the later 2350s decade, Lansing was serving as a command division captain in Starfleet, assigned as commanding officer of the science exploration vessel USS Fortuna.
Biography[]
Lansing was a plump, middle-aged man, who some, William T. Riker included, thought that Lansing was at a relatively low point in the pecking order that he had reached in his career, yet he seemed content with it.
In 2359, Lansing went against the express wishes of Lieutenant Riker and threw an impromptu "going away party" on the Fortuna's bridge, prior to Riker's departure to Betazed to take up a post at the Federation embassy. (TNG novel: Imzadi)
