Doctor Lanugu was a Federation scientist and the leader of the Federation Science Council in the 23rd century. He was a male member of an unknown species.
Biography[]
Dr. Lanugu invented biomagnetic recording, a process similar to a transporter which could "record" lifeforms or even entire planets and store them safely in a relatively small area. Data could be encoded either on crystals or tape. With this technology, he began Project Atlas, in which the inhabitants and planet of Styra were relocated to another star system in the year 2267 by the crew of the USS Enterprise.
