Larg was a 24th century Klingon man, an officer within the Klingon Defense Force that became a commander who was leader to a fighter squadron. During the Klingon Civil War, Larg and the soldiers under his command — which numbered as several Klingon birds-of-prey — aligned themselves with the forces who rebelled to overthrow Chancellor Gowron and follow the House of Duras instead, though his choice of banner would not prevent him from sharing a drink with Kurn, an opponent that had dealt damage to his squadron in a previous skirmish. (TNG episode: "Redemption")

Biography[]

Pledging to serve the forces of his empire, Larg climbed through the ranks as an eventual captain and became familiar with Kurn, who believed that his fellow officer was inclined to have foolish individuals under his command. When the family of Duras revealed Toral — son of their late namesake — as a candidate for the office of Chancellor, Larg and the birds-of-prey that belonged to his squadron supported the Great Houses who backed this claim, even after it was declared invalid. Alongside a substantial portion of the Klingon Imperial Fleet, Larg pledged his service to the Duras and wore their insignia upon his shoulder after civil war broke out between the proper government under Gowron and those who supported his rivals. Over the course of the war, Larg donated his military assets to the earliest string of victories that House Duras was able to secure, including one where two of his battlecraft pursued the IKS Hegh'ta, the flagship of Kurn, though these ships were destroyed, a fact that their captain was mocked for when Kurn met him on neutral ground inside the First City.

Crossing paths with Kurn when the two captains and their soldiers were frequenting a nightclub later on, Larg greeted his opponent with a jovial manner as the pair bantered about the failure of his squadron, which the captain vowed to avenge with a victory for the Duras. As the two of them shared a drink, Captain Larg was also introduced to Worf, son of Mogh and brother of Kurn. However, though it was known that Kurn shared the same parentage, Larg greeted Worf with visible contempt, suggesting that the other Klingon was not worthy of appearing with a uniform of the Defence Force, which almost provoked an attack. After expressing pleasure at having been given the chance to drink with Kurn, Larg expressed hope that the other commander would die with honor, then departed. (TNG episode: "Redemption")
