Latha Mabrin was a male Bajoran who lived in the 24th century. Latha was a smuggler, arms dealer, and member of the Shakaar resistance cell of the Bajoran Resistance during the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor, and became a vedek when the Occupation ended.

In the year 2359, Latha built a plasma charge that the Shakaar resistance cell used to attack Gul Morad Pirak's home near Hathon. (DS9 episode: "The Darkness and the Light")

In 2368, Latha was part of a Shakaar team that attacked a Cardassian munitions facility near Dahkur City. (ST - Terok Nor novel: Dawn of the Eagles)

Latha soon became a Vedek in the Bajoran religion and was based at the Calash retreat. In 2373, Latha was killed by a disruptor blast from a hunter probe deployed by Silaran Prin. Kira Nerys reflected that Latha was a violent man in life, but had found peace in religion before his death. (DS9 episode: "The Darkness and the Light")

Alternate timeline[]

In an alternate timeline in which the Cardassian Union did not withdraw from Bajor in 2369, Latha was killed fighting the Cardassians prior to 2373. By that time, Kira was the last surviving member of the Shakaar resistance cell. (TNG - Myriad Universes novel: A Gutted World)
