See Cassini for other articles with titles that contain, either by relationship or by coincidence, this character's surname.

Laura Cassini was a Human Starfleet officer in the early 25th century.

In 2409, with the rank of captain, she commanded the USS Copernicus during a survey of the Alini system when the ship came under attack by the Borg. Captain Cassini sent a distress signal to all allied vessels. The Copernicus suffered damage but was rescued by an allied ship that had been dispatched by Admiral D'Vak. Q rewarded the allies by instantly repairing all damage. (STO - Borg Collective mission: "State of Q")

"State of Q" was removed with the revamp of the "Borg Collective" episode into "Borg Advance" in Season Nine: A New Accord, and Cassini no longer appears in the game.
