Lawrence of Arabia was a movie produced on Earth in the year 1962, depicting the life of T.E. Lawrence, a.k.a. Lawrence of Arabia, a British national who aided the people of the Arabian Peninsula in their fight for independence in the early 20th century.

History and specifics[]

Lawrence's life and the film depicting it remained a part of human culture into the 23rd century. In the year 2296, David Rabin, a Starfleet officer assigned to the desert planet of Obsidian, drew several comparisons to Lawrence, and himself quoted Lawrence's movie line when asked why he liked the desert ("It's clean"), as well as on other occasions. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Forge)
