History and specifics[edit | edit source]

Lawrence's life and the film depicting it remained a part of human culture into the 23rd century. In the year 2296, David Rabin, a Starfleet officer assigned to the desert planet of Obsidian, drew several comparisons to Lawrence, and himself quoted Lawrence's movie line when asked why he liked the desert ("It's clean"), as well as on other occasions.
