The Legislative Council was the legislative body of the government of the planet Treva in the mid-24th century.

It took the form of a parliament and its members were democratically elected. It was headed by a President. It replaced the earlier council of warlords that had governed Treva prior to its transition to democracy, and some of the old warlords were elected to the Legislative Council.

In the early 2360s, it was led by Madame President Nalavia, who eroded many democratic practices, corrupted the councilors, and instituted a dictatorship. Three members of the Legislative Council, all former warlords, were murdered during this period. After 2364, President Rikan began restoring the government to its former state. The symbol of the Presidency was a golden badge worn on a ribbon around the neck. (TNG novel: Survivors)
