Lembatta Cluster in 2378.

Map of the Lembatta Cluster.

Lembatta Cluster in 2386.

The Lembatta Cluster was a region of space, a stellar cluster located in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant.[1] The cluster consisted mainly of large, old red giants. It contained the Home Spheres of the isolationist Renao[2]. (ST reference: Star Charts, PRM novel: Fire with Fire)

History[]

In the year 2373, during the Second Federation-Klingon War, the Federation Starfleet starship USS Farragut was destroyed by Klingon warships near the Lembatta Cluster while en route to Ajilon Prime. (DS9 episode: "Nor the Battle to the Strong")

In April 2380 or after, Federation President Nanietta Bacco visited the planet Lembatta Prime on her goodwill tour. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)

In 2383, Timeship Two emerged near the Lembatta Cluster. (DTI novel: Forgotten History)

Following terrorist attacks in November 2385, perpetrated by Renao using facsimiles of Romulan Scorpion-class attack fighters against nearby Federation and Klingon holdings, the Khitomer Accords powers dispatched an expedition to investigate the origin of the violence. The reclusive Renao leadership, condemning the attacks, grudgingly submitted to the investigation, undertaken by the USS Prometheus and the IKS Bortas. (PRM novels: Fire with Fire, The Root of All Rage)

In 2386, the Lembatta Cluster was depicted on the stellar map "Federation Historical Highlights" by the carto-historian Doctor Geoffrey Mandel of Memory Alpha. The grid extent of the map covered sector grids 05/15. (ST reference: Stellar Cartography)
