Len Wein is an American comic book writer and editor who wrote several Star Trek: The Original Series comic book issues.

Wein is well-known for his extensive work with both DC Comics and Marvel Comics, particularly his role in making the X-Men one of the latter company's leading superhero teams. He co-created the characters of Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm, Thunderbird, and Wolverine.

As a teenager, Wein became friends with fellow future Star Trek comic book author Marv Wolfman. [1]
