He served as the chief medical officer aboard the Narada after it was captured by Commander James T. Kirk. Following Nyota Uhura's coup and her accession to the captaincy, McCoy continued to serve in this role. (TOS comics: "Mirrored, Part 1", "Mirrored, Part 2")
