Lin was a 23rd century Human man. He served in Starfleet aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2270s decade under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
Biography[]
Lin was of Chinese heritage. By the year 2278 he was a young officer, rank of lieutenant, and served as a swing-shift communications officer.
In 2278, Lin was on duty when Kirk called the bridge asking to be connected with Publican Abben Ffaridor or Brigadier Jjenna Vvox. Lin tried but could only reach one of their guards, who relayed that both were too busy to reply. Kirk was annoyed at their continued avoidance and decided to visit them personally.
