In 2269, Montgomery Scott asked Lieutenant Ling to select a team of security officers to travel to the Amusement Park planet aboard the shuttlecraft Galileo (NCC-1701/1). Ling assigned Lieutenant Bobynin to command the mission. The team prepared for takeoff, but the Master Computer of the planet overrode the bay doors and trapped the shuttle on the hangar deck.
