A Lirpa wielding Vulcan on Darien 224
The lirpa is a Vulcan melee weapon which consists of a metal staff with a fan-shaped blade on one end and a club on the other end. Traditionally, the lirpa is used by combatants in the kal-if-fee.
Lirpas are also used by Vulcans when energy weapons are unsuitable or in close quarters combat.
In 2154 Vulcan High Command personnel used Lirpas when pursuing Jonathan Archer and T'Pol in Vulcan's Forge as energy weapons were unusable. (ENT episode: "Kir'Shara")
In 2254 the Vulcans of Darien 224 used Lirpas to finish off a landing party from the USS Enterprise having cornered them using Vulcan staff weapons. (EV comic: "Cloak and Dagger")
Spock and James T. Kirk fought each other with lirpas during Spock's kal-if-fee challenge, when he underwent pon farr in 2267. (TOS episode: "Amok Time")
