In 2379, Captain Del Colle was in command of the USS Republic.
After the disasterous Tezwa affair, the USS Republic, along with the USS Musashi and the USS Amargosa, was sent to aid the USS Enterprise-E with the reconstruction of Tezwa after millions of its citizens were killed and most of its major cities' structures were destroyed by the Klingons.
