”Little Green Men"' is a fourth season episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It was first broadcast in November 1995.
Quark, Rom and Nog find themselves detained by the United States military after an accident sends them back in time to Earth in 1947.
Summary[]
Nog is preparing to leave Deep Space 9 to attend Starfleet Academy on Earth. Quark has just been given a ship by his cousin Gaila and offers to use it to take Nog to Earth. Near Earth, sabotage by Gaila kicks in and Rom’s attempt to save the ship sends it back in time.
The three Ferengi find themselves on Earth, but in 1947, and under arrest by the American army. The Americans believe that the Ferengi are Martians, and and have Professor Jeff Carlson study them. The early attempt produces comical results, and Quark sees a fantastic opportunity in dealing with these primitives.
The Ferengi universal translators initially don’t work, but after Rom repairs them, Quark starts to negotiate with General Denning. Quark offers to give the Americans technology, but Denning believes there is another reason for the Ferengi’s arrival. While Denning talks to President Truman, a military dog is revealed to be Odo, who stowed away on Quark’s ship.

Quark with Professor Carlson and Nurse Garland.
President Truman authorises Denning to interrogate the Ferengi and Captain Wainwright begins by using sodium Pentathol to force them to reveal what they know. Nog claims that they are really scouts for an invasion and when he goes to show Wainwright the location of the invasion landing site, Nog hits Wainwright. Professor Carlson knocks out a guard, while his fiancée Faith Garland knocks out Wainwright and with Odo help the Ferengi to the ship.
Harnessing the radiation from the detonation of a nuclear bomb, the Ferengi and Odo return to the 24th century. Back on Deep Space 9, Odo arrests Quark for smuggling.
