Appendices[]

Background information[]

  • "Living on the Edge of Existence" takes place after Sisko joined the Prophets in the DS9 episode: "What You Leave Behind". Gerri Leen commented; "I wanted to do a post 'What You Leave Behind' story that centered on Sisko in the wormhole/Celestial Temple. I wanted it to be trippy - the way the show depicted any interaction with the Prophets - so it was a challenge to get that feel into a story that still had enough cohesion to make sense. And it had to be true to Sisko, who ties with Kirk as my favorite captain, and who was so well developed in the series". (Voyages of Imagination)
