Lloyd Zeta IX

Lloyd Zeta IX, also known as Lloyd Zeta-9, was a class M planet located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the ninth planet in orbit of the Lloyd Zeta star system. It was home to a Tholian colony.

History and specifics[]

During the day, the temperature of Lloyd Zeta IX was over 400 Kelvins.

In the year 2269, the Tholian colonists were attacked by a Tholian Assembly destroyer armed with a stasis beam, causing their bodies to freeze and shatter. Their distress call was received by the USS Enterprise, which was in the system overseeing the operation of the Einstein-Rosen Ouroboros. When the away team arrived, they found the colony in ruins and all the Tholians dead except for two survivors: one whom they were forced to kill in self-defense; the other, a child whom they beamed aboard their ship. Some time later, Isis met with Gary Seven in the ruins of Lloyd-Zeta 9. (TOS - Year Five comic: "Issue 8")

By the early 2270s, the colony on Lloyd Zeta-9 had been rebuilt as a joint settlement between the Federation and the Tholian Assembly, dubbed "Enterprise colony", with a total population of 11,349. The now-adult Tholian child, now named Bright Eyes and having become an ambassador, met with Admiral James T. Kirk there to sign the treaty between their two peoples.
