Lucius was a Romulan officer living in the 24th century and serving under Commander Soleta.

Biography[]

Lucius was the first officer of the spy ship IRW Spectre and a loyal citizen of the Romulan Star Empire. Because of these reasons, he was dissatisfied with his commander, Soleta, a half-breed and a former Starfleet officer.

Despite protocol, Lucius privately referred to Soleta with the more archaic rank of legate, since he didn't think that she deserved to be called commander yet. After the assassination of Praetor Hiren and the ambush they suffered when they returned to Romulan space after a long mission, he led a mutiny against Soleta when he learned that she didn't want to return to Romulus because of the political instability.

Unknowingly to him, Soleta had installed several fail safes in the computer and managed to vent all the people in the ship into space except for Lucius, who had managed to beam to safety. Soleta and Lucius hunted each other on the ship until they realized that they felt attracted to one another and became lovers.

Lucius kept serving under Soleta until 2379, when he was contacted by the D'myurj who promised to make him Praetor if he delivered Cwansi and Rulan 12 to a remote planet. Selar, who had been promised a cure for her son, helped him to unlock the Spectre's computer that had been programmed to unlock only in presence of Vulcan DNA. Lucius didn't mind betraying Selar as soon as she started expressing doubts about their mission, but was ultimately killed by Rulan 12 after he dropped the brig's force field in order to silence the crying Cwansi.
