Captain Lucius Aelius Sejanus was a Magna Roman Starfleet officer with a reputation for excellence in battle.

Biography[]

In 2364, Sejanus's ship, the USS Centurion, was deployed to Tenara in order to ward off raids on the planet by the M'dok Empire. Sejanus planned to use the issues at Tenara to gain political favor on Magna Roma by training the Tenarans to be Magna Romans and take over the planet. Unfortunately for Sejanus, his ship was attacked and he had to request reinforcements. These reinforcements came in the form of the USS Enterprise-D and Captain Jean-Luc Picard, who constantly disagreed with Sejanus about how to help the Tenarans.

These disagreements led to great friction between Picard and Sejanus. Through the course of Sejanus' plans, he killed Gaius Aldus and then attempted to manipulate Aldus' lover, Ensign Jenny de Luz, into assisting him. De Luz saw right through Sejanus's deception and arrested him. However, Sejanus escaped from the Enterprise's brig, re-boarded the Centurion, and escaped. (TNG novel: The Captains' Honor)
