For other uses, see Lucy.

Lucy was a 23rd century Human woman. She was a Starfleet crewman assigned to the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2270s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.

History[]

In 2274, Lucy was stationed in the ship's cargo bay.

Lucy and her accomplice Mike Carpenter attempted to smuggle two containers of illegal theep to Cyonis IV, the next scheduled port of call for the Enterprise after Mimit, where Carpenter had secured a buyer who would pay a fortune for them. Initially the acidic compound was hidden in the cargo bay, where Lucy could keep an eye on them, but when Investigator Mernat staked out the location and visiting Bebebebeque engineers began taking apart the loading machinery, Lucy panicked and asked Carpenter to move them.

Carpenter sparked a riot in the enlisted crew mess hall, and during the resulting confusion, Lucy and Carpenter relocated one container inside transporter room relays in engineering without being witnessed. While putting the other container behind a wall in auxiliary control, they were caught red handed by Pete Conroy, but Conroy accepted a bribe to split the profits.

As the ship approached Mimit, Lucy became worried and needed reassurance, so she left her post in the cargo bay, unaware that Ferreth investigator Mernat was following her. She found Carpenter and Conroy fighting in engineering by their theep container, which was leaking. Her fellow conspirators fell onto the short-circuiting transporter relays and were beamed outside the ship. Lucy was arrested by a security guard. (TOS comic: "The Wristwatch Plantation")
