Luminox was a city, a chief city that was a tourist destination on the planet Argelius II. Inhabitants of Luminox were referred to as Luminoxi.
History and specifics[]
Jadzia Dax visited Luminox in the year 2372, ostensibly on shore leave but actually looking in on an old friend, Nemi Prit, who had taken up residence at a large casino on the city's shore, the Avendawn.
Dax's commercial space transportation beamed her down to Marble Hill Plaza, on the opposite side of the city from her destination. Although she was disappointed in the accuracy of her booked transportation, she did enjoy the walk through the many food vendors catering to tourists. (DS9 novel: Revenant)
