The Lurians are a humanoid species from the planet, Luria, located in the Ionite Nebula region. Although rarely seen away from their homeworld, some Lurians have moved out into the galaxy to live out their lives.
Although they are humanoid in appearence, the Lurians have developed multiple hearts and two stomachs, which has made them a more resistant species against poisons and other multitudes of toxins. The additional stomach also allows them to store liquids for years at a time. (DS9 episodes: "Through the Looking Glass", "The Way of the Warrior", and "Who Mourns for Morn?").
