Lya Station Alpha was a Federation starbase that served Starfleet in the 24th century. In 2368, on stardate 45076.3, the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D docked at the starbase carrying survivors of the attack on the Federation colony at Solarion IV so that Captain Jean-Luc Picard could discuss with Admiral Kennelly the situation of the attack.
