The Lymax crossbow was a weapon, a sort of crossbow originating with the Lymax civilization.
A Gorn.
This crossbow weapon possessed a limited ability to injure the Gorn of the Kelvin timeline. Gorpions and Gorn rushers were easily slain by it. When combined with Gorn explosive grenades, it became a more potent weapon that eventually led to the defeat of the Gorn Champion. (TOS video game: Star Trek)
