Lynx (genitive form Lyncis) is a constellation visible from Earth, named for its characterization as a felinoid animal lifeform of the same name.

The Federation starship USS Lynx is named for this region, the formations contained within and its mythological history. The Romulan Star Empire also has a number of vessels named RIS Lyncis.
