In 2269, when Harry Mudd's love potion crystals were distributed into the ventilation system of the USS Enterprise, Mayer and Leonard McCoy touched each other, becoming infected with the temporary compulsion to love each other. McCoy bragged to her about having saved the life of everyone aboard the ship. (TAS episode & Log Three novelization: Mudd's Passion)
- The novelization provided her name and job description. In the episode, she wore an operations division uniform with lieutenant stripes.
