A Ma'Staka was a symbolic stick used during a Klingon wedding ceremony. Those undertaking the Kal'Hyah ritual carry Ma'Stakas until the actual wedding, where they attack the bride and groom in an symbolic attack that commemorates when Kahless and Lukara were attacked at their wedding by Molor's troops.
