Mab-Bu VI was a giant, gaseous planet located in Federation space, Mab-Bu VI had a class M moon that was recorded to be uninhabited. The USS Essex (Sovereign class) was destoyed above the moon in 2367 by Ux-Mal criminals who were imprisioned on the moon. These same criminals in 2368 by commandeering the USS Enterprise-D and taking over Chief Miles O'Brien, Councillor Deanna Troi and Lieutenant Commander Data (TNG episode: "Power Play")
