The Mabinogi was a literary epic describing the Celtic mythology of Earth. It featured the character of Rhiannon.

History[]

In the 24th century, Deanna Troi read the Mabinogi when she was growing up and was familiar with the Welsh Rhiannon. Troi described her as a “beautiful grown woman, almost a goddess, who had a special affinity for horses.”

In the 2360s, a young Rampartian Dissenter named herself Rhiannon after Mabinogi character. By 2366, she was 12 years old and was a scholar of Welsh and Irish folklore, expert particularly in the character she was named after but also in the other branches of the Mabinogi.
