For other uses, see Magellan.

The Magellan (NCC-1701-D/15) was a Federation Type-6 shuttlecraft in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. In the 2360s, Magellan was assigned to the USS Enterprise as shuttle 15.

History[edit | edit source]

In the year 2368, Lieutenant Worf piloted the Magellan from the Enterprise in an attempt to rescue Captain Jean-Luc Picard from El-Adrel IV. The shuttle was fired on by a Tamarian deep space cruiser and forced to abort the mission. (TNG episode: "Darmok")

Later that year, the Magellan was destroyed during a mission to recover a J'naii shuttle, the Taris Murn, from null space. (TNG episode: "The Outcast")
