Mahmud al-Khaled was a male Human of Middle Eastern descent, who served as a Starfleet officer and engineer in the 23rd century.

His first assignment in Starfleet was at Starbase 2, where he regularly performed repairs on a variety of vessels, including ground craft, sub-orbital ships, and starships. (SCE eBook: Foundations, Book Three)

By the year 2264, he held the rank of Lieutenant, and served as head of the Corps of Engineers team aboard the USS Lovell, as well as second officer to the ship's commander, Captain Daniel Okagawa. In the 24th century, Mahmud al-Khaled's picture hung prominently in the Tucker Memorial Building at Starfleet Command. (SCE eBook: The Future Begins)
