Makar was a class M world in the Beta Quadrant. The world had many heavy metals and decalithium. Two southern, temperate continents held an Iron Age native population.
In 2391, Sela, along with her followers, landed on Makar in order to make use of the planet's natural resources. The native Makarans were subjugated and forced to work in the Romulans' mines. (ST website : The Path to 2409)
