Makbar.

Makbar was a Cardassian woman who lived in the 24th century.

Biography[]

In the 2370s, Makbar was a Chief Archon in the Cardassian justice system.

In 2370, Makbar was part of a Cardassian plot designed to discredit the Federation by putting Miles O'Brien on trial and faking evidence that Starfleet was supplying weapons to the Maquis in the Demilitarized Zone. After Benjamin Sisko and Julian Bashir discovered a Cardassian posing as a former Starfleet officer and brought him to Cardassia, Makbar was forced to release O'Brien. (DS9 episode: "Tribunal")

After the Dominion War, Makbar presided over the trial of Denison Morad, who had destroyed a Federation industrial replicator in Lakat. Makbar, a member of the True Way, was lenient to Morad and sentenced him to just one hundred days in the Hutet labor camp, with the intention of recruiting him into the group when he was released. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Raise the Dawn)
