Malakiyy was a planet, the ninth planet orbiting 789 Circini, and was located in the Trianguli sector of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant.

History and specifics[]

Malakiyy was a small, rocky world with impact craters. It orbited 48.6 AUs from its star. Prior to the 2270s decade, the star had been charted by the Federation, but not the planet, and its surface had yet to be mapped.

A repeating distress call was sent from the world in the 2270s, transmitted in ancient English, according to Jane's Interstellar Gazetteer and System Catalogue.

In the year 2285, Malakiyy was incorporated into a new version of the Kobayashi Maru scenario. (TOS video game: The Kobayashi Alternative)
