A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! Africa 1992

Africa in 1992.

Mali was a nation-state in the northwestern part of Africa on Earth. It bordered Niger, Faso, Cote D'Ivoire, Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, and Algeria.

History and specifics[]

Mali sent Ajabwe of the Dogon people to represent the country at the 1939 New York World's Fair. (DS9 novelization: Far Beyond the Stars)

In 2045, the CSS Delphinus was found anchored off the coast of Mali following its disappearance from the Byrd Research Complex in Antarctica. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)

Curiously, Mali is a landlocked nation, perhaps suggesting a shift in the borders sometime prior to 2045.

Kelvin timeline[]

Eugenics Wars map 1996

Global territories in 1996 during the Eugenics Wars.

According to Khan Noonien Singh, in September 1992 Augment Dictator Ama Owusu annexed Mali into United Africa. By 1996, Mali was part of the African Caliphates before the Augment dictatorships were overthrown. (TOS - Khan comics: "Issue 2", "Issue 3")
