Malia was a 24th century Montosian woman, a resident of the planet Montos in the 2370s decade.
Biography[]
Malia's help was enlisted by Zoran Si Verdin, a Thallonian who was engaged in a subterfuge following the fall of the Thallonian Empire in the year 2373. Zoran had kidnapped Kalinda, the princess of the Thallonian Royal Family, and intended to use her to find the location of the Quiet Place. He enlisted the help of another Thallonian, Subavar, in finding a psi-surgeon and geneticist to disguise Kallinda as a Montosian and give her memories of growing up as Malia's daughter. Malia's job was to monitor the girl and wait for precognitive dreams that revealed the Quiet Place only to young ladies of the royal court during adolescence. (NF novel: The Quiet Place)
