Deneva

Map of Deneva.

Mallarashtra was the name of a township on planet Deneva, as well as its surrounding province, located to the west of the Sibirian Mountains. It was apparently populated in large part by Humans from India and South Asia on Earth, including the family of Starfleet Lieutenant Jasminder Choudhury.

Mallarashtra was the location of the Crescent Valley Retreat, a noted vacation spot.

A freak blizzard hit Mallarashtra sometime circa the 2340s, when Choudhury was five years old.

During the Borg Invasion of 2381, the Mallarashtra Province was noted as having a calm and orderly evacuation, with the majority of residents selflessly leaving space to other evacuees. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)
