Malok.

Malok was an immortal humanoid who possessed large, insectoid eyes.

Biography[]

Having spent centuries exploring the universe, Malok became bored with living his own life and decided to instead live the lives of others. Circa 2800 BC, he constructed a plastoid dome on Pollux II which gave him complete control over the planet. He used his technology to capture passing spaceships and stimulate emotional responses in them so he could absorb the emotions into himself. In 2264, he did this to a landing party from the USS Enterprise, which had arrived at Pollux II to investigate recent spaceship disappearances. Spock discovered Malok and his dome, then altered the devices within so that Malok instead absorbed the Vulcan emotions that the Enterprise had intended to transport to Beta IV. (TOS comic: "The Brain Shockers")
