Malon Prime was a class M planet located in the Malon Sanctity in the Delta Quadrant, and the homeworld of the Malon species. Malon Prime was the capital of the Malon Cooperative. (VOY episode: "Juggernaut", ST reference: Star Charts)

History

Malon Prime gave rise to a sentient species, the Malon, and became the homeworld of their nation. (ST reference: Star Charts)

The Federation learned about the existence of Malon Prime when the Intrepid-class starship USS Voyager made first contact with a Malon export vessel 2375. Controller Fesek the export industry's purpose was to dumb the theta radiation waste the Cooperative produced far away from Malon Prime, one of the most beautiful planets of the quadrant. (VOY episode: "Juggernaut")

Later that year, the supertanker Apsac was designed and built on Malon Prime by Controller Marssi. She hoped that following its third waste export run she and her mate Stvoran could afford a house in the mountains of Malon Prime, a new home for the pair and their daughter, Ella. (DS9 - Gateways novel: Demons of Air and Darkness)

Besides shipbuilding, the Malon export industry was limited to antimatter waste dumping, smap crop and therhea grain. (TNG novel: Q & A)
