The Mance was a Federation shuttlecraft which was attached to the USS Titan in the late 2370s and early 2380s. (TTN novel: Taking Wing)
In 2381, the Titan accidentally stumbled upon the planet New Erigol. A portal was opened in the planet's protective sphere, and an away team led by first officer Christine Vale and counselor Deanna Troi took the mance to the surface. (ST - Destiny novel: Gods of Night)
- The Mance was likely named after famed jazz pianist Junior Mance.
