In the 23rd century, Starfleet maintained a classified high-secure prison facility in the system. The asteroid base Facility 2047 remained active into the 2250s decade. In 2256, Hadrian Vosker served as the prison's warden. In that year, Commander Ellen Landry of the USS Buran delivered the valuable Klingon prisoner Aakar, captured in Priors system.
