Marcus Bertrand was a Starfleet officer who held the rank of captain and held the position of commanding officer of the USS Potemkin. He was a friend of William T. Riker. When the Potemkin was captured during the 2368 Borg/Cyberman invasion of Delta IV, he was assimilated into the Borg Collective. (TNG comic: "Assimilation², Issue 6")
