Mariner 6 was a 20th century space probe built by the Human civilization, launched from Earth to the planet Mars.
Launched in February 1969, Mariner 6 traveled 156 days before reaching orbit of Mars. It determined that the planet's atmosphere was without nitrogen and as a result most likely did not support life. (The Classic UK Comics, Volume 3)
