Mars Station[2] was a 24th[1] century Federation space station, a Sierra-class starbase in Starfleet service from the 2380s[1] to the 2410s[2] decade. This facility was part of the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. (STO - House Shattered mission: "Synth Wave")
Service history[]
On 5 April in the year 2385, the Romulan intelligence service Zhat Vash took control of the Daytrom A500 Synths and directed them in an Attack on Mars that devastated the planet's atmosphere, and Starfleet's shipyards. Starfleet evacuated the Martian population to Wallenberg-class transports in orbit, who moved the refugees to Mars Station. The seemingly rogue Synths attacked Starfleet ships but left Mars Station alone.
In 2410, Starfleet Intelligence commissioned a holographic starship combat training program for Khitomer Alliance military officers. The program was a recreation of the historic Attack on Mars and included the evacuation of refugees to Mars Station. (STO - House Shattered mission: "Synth Wave")
In the year 2411, The Other, a living machine from the mirror universe, controlled by Terran Emperor Wesley Crusher travelled to the Sol to digitize the system. As part of Operation: Mars, the Alliance dispatched ships, led by Commander Tiaru Jarok and the RRW Lleiset, to engage the Other and its Terran escorts. When the Other arrived, it digitized Mars Station, the planet Mars itself and part of Jarok's fleet. The Alliance forces retreated to Mars.
Following the resolution of the conflict with Emperor Crusher, V'ger formed a family with the Other, now calling itself C'qer. C'qer restored what it had digitized, returning Mars and Mars Station to existence. (STO - Terran Gambit mission: "The Fujiwhara Effect")
