History and organization[]
Marsfoods was a business firm situated on the planet Mars in the city of Vandalia, which in turn was located in the Sol star system in sector 001 of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. Marsfoods was founded by Elias Wintergreen on reference stardate 2/0907.4; its chartering organization became the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United Federation of Planets.
The origin of this company came from a revival of ancient Terran businesses practices and involved the creation of the Federation's premier fast food supplier. This had led it to become a chain of interplanetary concessions that were estimated to be worth 100,000 units. Much of the corporations success was attributed to Wintergreen's imaginative advertising techniques as well as judicious corporate arrangements with General Entertainments Concepts that introduced Marsfoods Corporation's franchise to its numerous amusement park worlds. Mars Foods Incorporated chose to advertise in Spacelanes, a periodical publication in the late 23rd century. The Mars Foods ad had the tagline "We're not Beatrice". (FASA RPG module: Spacelanes: The Magazine of Interstellar Trade)
Fast food division[]
By the mid 23rd century, Elias Wintergreen remained as the company CEO who served as the division head of a simple sub-branch of the corporation known as Marsfoods Express Service which was responsible for fast food products. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
