The city of Salem is located in Massachusetts. The site of the infamous Salem witch trials, a number of Megans visiting Earth died at the hands of the Humans living in the city. (TAS episode: "The Magicks of Megas-Tu")
Mestral of Vulcan was in the city of Boston, Massachusetts, during the outbreak of World War III. Shortly thereafter, he encountered Zefram Cochrane at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the neighboring city of Cambridge. (ENT short story: "Mestral")
