Meir was a Human female who an officer of the Earth Starfleet in the mid-22nd century.
Biography[]
She was assigned to the Enterprise (NX-01) on her first deep space mission.
In 2152 the Enterprise encountered Wanderer, an energy-based life-form, at the planet Oan. Wanderer fed upon electricity produced by humanoid bodies, and Meir became one of its victims after most of the crew took refuge in engineering. She died of the process, and Captain Jonathan Archer found her in her quarters, after she failed to report to duty.
Meir's corpse was later reanimated by Wanderer and used to attack the crew, but eventually it was defeated, and Meier's body had been freed. (ENT novel: Surak's Soul)
