Mel Crawford (19252015) was a Canadian-born comic book cover artist. He painted the cover of a Star Trek comic for Gold Key Comics in 1979.

He painted covers for a few other Gold Key science fiction comics, such as Buck Rogers #2, Flash Gordon #22, and UFO & Outer Space #20. He also penciled a few stories, including two for Doctor Solar. His stories in The Twilight Zone #2 and #28 accompanied others drawn by fellow Star Trek artist Alberto Giolitti.

Crawford was best known as a children's book illustrator, drawing a number of Disney and Hanna-Barbera characters. He adapted stories such as Alice in Wonderland and Tarzan, and painted Little Golden Books covers.
