Mel Gilden was an author and the author several Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novels.
Gilden has also written episodes of James Bond Jr., Fraggle Rock and The Flintstone Kids, as well as several Beverly Hills 90210 novels.
