Melissa Moy was a Human female, who served in the Federation Starfleet in its early years in the 22nd century.
History[]
In October, 2165, Ensign Moy was assigned to the USS Essex under the command of Captain Bryce Shumar after the vessel's previous helmsman was killed in action.
In the following months, Captain Shumar came to respect her piloting skills which came particularly handy during Essex's mission to evade the blockade around Sauria and drop off a Starfleet team to the planet. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Patterns of Interference)
